Working Principle

1. Basic Principles of Signal Transmission and Reception

The entire spotlight antenna consists of four core components: the RF radiation unit, metal reflective back panel, waterproof camouflage housing, and dual N-type connectors.

①Signal Transmission: The RRU device outputs radio frequency electrical signals, which are transmitted via two N-K connectors to the internal aluminum radiating elements within the antenna. These signals are converted into electromagnetic waves in the 698-3600 MHz range by resonant cavities and then radiated outward through a 65° horizontally directional beam, precisely covering the target building's floors.

②Signal Reception: Upstream electromagnetic waves emitted by mobile phones and IoT devices within the building are captured omnidirectionally by the antenna. The reflector collects and filters out interference signals, converting the electromagnetic waves into electrical signals that are transmitted back to the base station equipment, thereby completing bidirectional communication.

2. Camouflage shell with optimized core for signal non-attenuation

Most low-cost antennas use standard plastic housings, resulting in RF loss exceeding 15%, which leads to weak signals and sluggish network speeds at cell edges. Qianmu Communications' Factory has independently developed a modified UABS transparent wave housing, with laboratory measurements showing RF loss as low as only 6.2%. 1. Prioritize confirming the frequency band coverage. For China's mainstream 5G 3.5GHz band, it is essential to select wideband spotlight antennas supporting 1710-3600MHz. Older antennas with a maximum of 2700MHz cannot support current 5G networks and will require full replacement later, significantly increasing project costs.

2. Verify actual RF parameters and reject misleading specifications. Before purchasing, require suppliers to provide measured vector network analyzer curves for the same model, focusing on verifying three key indicators: gain, VSWR, and front-to-back ratio. Low-cost products on the market often overstate gain, resulting in an actual coverage distance reduced by more than 40%.

3. Emphasis on outdoor protection and materials: In coastal areas with frequent rain and typhoons, die-cast aluminum vibrators combined with weather-resistant UABS enclosures must be used.
